Fed: Rudd poised to release details of new-look frontbench

Opposition leader KEVIN RUDD is expected to announce the details of Labor's new-look
frontbench today.

Mr RUDD and his deputy JULIA GILLARD are due to hold a media conference in Brisbane
at 2 pm local time (1500 AEDT) .. after kicking off their 10-day listening tour of Australia
today.

PETER GARRETT .. CHRIS BOWEN .. CRAIG EMERSON and BOB MCMULLAN were elected unopposed
to the Labor frontbench last week to replace KIM BEAZLEY .. GAVAN O'CONNOR and BOB SERCOMBE.

But Mr RUDD is yet to formally allocate shadow ministerial responsibilities.

Ms GILLARD is tipped to take the high-profile workplace relations portfolio from STEPHEN
SMITH and lead Labor's campaign against the HOWARD government's Work Choices laws.
